“I don’t dance!” said Andrew in my meeting with him recently.

“It’s not really my thing either,” I responded. In my head I thought how you can’t unsee me dancing too, it’s just not fair on others.

“No,” said Andrew more emphatically, I don’t do the dance, the surface, show off, tell me what I want to hear stuff when it comes to leaders and teams, I do real. I do heart. I do the important stuff.”

For Andrew, not dancing meant he’s most passionate about moving past the surface level matters and digging into matters of the heart for leaders, teams and organisations. He’s a capability expert with a passion for humans. What a blend of skill and spirit right, that is leadership for the future.

What is that for you?

For me, it’s when leaders, teams and organisations get that ‘moment’ when they know that they can lead with competence, confidence and influence. I believe we can chat the game of leadership development everywhere.

I’ve teamed up with the tribe from GiANT Worldwide and am using the 100X Leader System to establish a foundation for leadership development with all my clients. Add in my own IP and incredible clients and from where I sit the next decade is looking very exciting.

One of the models we leverage on the 100X platform is the Peace Index. You take five areas of life and rate them, then average the number which gives you an overall total or “Peace Index”. The five areas are:

  • People – The kind of community/tribe you belong to.
  • Place – Where and how you live.
  • Purpose – What you most desire to be doing with your time and talent.
  • Physical – Your health and well being.
  • Provision – Financial security and stability.

You get the maths. Give yourself a percentage score for all five. Add them up then take the average. Giving you a total AND showing the areas that are strong and areas to work on next.

Do yourself a favour, take out a piece of paper, a pen and list these five areas, score yourself /100 on all five areas then average them out. Less than 60 and I’d encourage you to reach out to a mentor to begin the transformation journey.
